In this stand-alone, progression-based skating class, specialised coaches encourage students to set a large number of short-term goals that are easier to achieve.
After the group has been met and escorted to Dubai Ice Rink, their journey can begin. Once at Dubai Ice Rink, students are taken to skate hire and have their skates fitted. At the beginning of the first session, a booklet is given to students and the different levels are explained. A 20 or 30-minute lesson then follows, with the students divided into groups of 10 (for 3-6 years old) or 20 (7 years and over) skaters per coach.
Once the session is finished, the students are encouraged to practice whilst other skaters are taught. The number of visits for a group should mirror the number of weeks in the school term. The skaters and teachers are all given a booklet at the end of the first session outlining the skater’s goals over the course of the program.
